Responsibilities

  • Creating a fun, safe, and stimulating space where children feel happy, secure, and excited to learn.
  • Delivering engaging, play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Acting as a key person, building strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Supporting, guiding, and mentoring junior team members with positivity and encouragement.
  • Observing, tracking, and planning for individual children’s development.
  • Working closely with Room Leaders and Heads of Unit to maintain high standards in care and education.
  • Ensuring all safeguarding and health & safety practices are followed, always.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 or above in Early Years Education/Childcare (CACHE, NVQ, etc.)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in an early years setting.
  • A solid grasp of the EYFS framework and safeguarding best practices.
  • A kind, nurturing nature and strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Up-to-date DBS, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding Training (or willingness to obtain).
