Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour. Starting compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
Perform an array of functions that include receiving and processing incoming shipments, packing and shipping orders, and managing BF Collections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate arrival and unloading of delivery trucks.
- Inspect merchandise as it arrives (if damaged, item to be rejected at time of receipt) and stage to be put away.
- Conduct a thorough inspection to validate the shipment is received; record all information in Studio Stamp and date all packing slips and file in appropriate folder.
- Mark all boxes with a sticker containing PO #, GL code, project name, and date of processing.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards and record placement in Studio.
- Mark all damaged items appropriately and place in returns area; notify procurement agent immediately.
- Prepare all damaged items for return after receiving a shipping label from the procurement agent, and ship accordingly.
- Pull items to prepare for install.
- Communicate closely with property maintenance team on inventory and new purchases.
- Update notes and colors in Studio when items leave the warehouse for reasons other than install.
- Respond to requests to schedule deliveries.
BF Collections
- Receive information of items from Design Accounting Manager on sourcing trip and place items into Lightspeed.
- Organize and assist movers to deliver all items.
- Photograph and organize all physical items: take photographs, measurements, and any other information needed for Lightspeed.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards and record placement in Lightspeed.
- Enter all new items in BigCommerce (internal page; only upload to public site if directed).
- Respond to design team requests for items in inventory, including photos and measurements.
- Ring all items in Lightspeed once a PO from the purchasing agent is received.
- Move purchased items to the appropriate area of the warehouse or schedule Trans to pick up if project isn’t stored at the warehouse.
- Send receipt to Design Accounting and Procurement.
- Prepare orders by pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area for movers, designers, or shipment.
- Prepare parcels for shipment if needed.
Purchasing
- Monitor inventory of warehouse items (boxes, tape, etc.).
- Compose requisition items for approval as Purchase Orders.
- Source materials as needed for the warehouse and design department.
Billing
- Conduct the monthly storage count and assessment.
- Send monthly storage calculated by square foot to Design accounting manager monthly.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures. To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and consistent attendance is required. Must be able to work well with other team members, managers, and interact with our guests.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma.
- Warehouse, inventory, materials handling shipping, receiving, basic cost analysis, safety, and Lightspeed experience preferred.
- Easily adapts to changing priorities and tasks.
- Is proactive and asks questions.
- Must have a very strong understanding of MS Office, databases and information systems.
- Must be capable of learning new computer software programs quickly.
Language Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate with all team members in a professional and courteous manner.
- Must be able to establish relationships with outside vendors and communicate needs and requests to them accordingly.
Attendance
40 hours is expected each week, 8am-5pm.
Mathematical Skills
Basic Math Skills.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals.
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart.
