We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and friendly business seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone hands-on, organised, and confident managing day-to-day accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger activities
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Supporting month-end accounting processes
- Assisting with credit control
- Sourcing cost-effective utility suppliers
- Stationery ordering and office supply management
Experience / Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience with Sage 50
- Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger functions
- Experience with bank reconciliations and VAT submissions
- Exposure to month-end processes
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
