Shift Pattern For The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Week one (6:00am - 14:00pm)
- Week two (14:00pm - 10:00pm)
Due to continued growth, Next Generation are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Sparkhill. As the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing critical theoretical and technical knowledge whilst implementing innovative improvements in complex and unpredictable situations.
Duties Of The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Conducting diagnostic investigation
- Maintain and repair plant machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise availability at optimum cost.
- Adhere to the preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is to a minimum.
- Defining key critical spares (budget control)
- Improvement projects to drive sustained solutions
- Root Cause Analysis to successfully implement Permanent Corrective Actions
- Liaise and support engineering / Projects with the buy off process and new part introduction, highlighting snagging and influencing improvement plans.
The successful candidate for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position will have the following experience:
- 3-5 years experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer (Essential)
- 16th, 17th, or 18th edition certified Engineer (Desirable)
- Experience with Siemens S7 (Desirable)
- Fanuc / ABB qualification or equivalent
