Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £40,000 p.a.

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Friday: finish 1:30 pm.

Company: Next Generation are recruiting for a CMM Programmer to work with a well‑established engineering company based near who manufacture precision engineered parts for the Aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Measuring & alignment of complex components.
  • Following customer drawings & internal datum strategies to desired quality standards with limited supervision.
  • Defining measurement report outputs.
  • Programming automated CMM programs.
  • Supporting the project team with measurement requirements for PPAP approval.
  • Carrying out dimensional investigation work for the engineering teams.
  • 5S of the work centre.
  • Adherence to H&S guidelines.
  • Carrying out hardness tests when required (site specific).

Qualifications:

  • Ability to use unsupervised more than one type of measurement software currently in use (Axel, PCDMIS, Metrolog or Camio).
  • Ability to use unsupervised more than one type of measurement hardware currently in use at relevant site (ITP, Hexagon, Roamer Arm, LK or Handyscan).
  • Demonstrable understanding of GD&T.
  • Demonstrable understanding of customer drawings.
  • Demonstrable understanding of SPC & R&R.
  • Ability to use Vickers hardness tester (site specific).
