My Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced private client professional to join their longstanding legal practice in Kent. Job Summary
You will manage a varied caseload involving wills, trusts, probate, and complex estate planning. You will advise on tax, succession, and capacity issues for clients ranging from individuals to high-net-worth families. Working closely with a collaborative team and supported by modern case management tools, you will have the chance to grow professionally and contribute to a respected legal tradition.
Your Role
You will be responsible for drafting wills, advising on inheritance tax and trust structures, preparing LPAs, and managing probate applications through to completion. You will also advise on elderly client matters, including care funding and Court of Protection work. This role may also involve elements of contentious probate and business succession, depending on your experience and interests.

You are a qualified solicitor with a strong background in private client law and a genuine desire to provide high-quality, compassionate advice to individuals and families. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working independently. You have excellent interpersonal skills and take pride in delivering exceptional service, especially during emotionally sensitive situations.
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in wills, probate, and trusts
- Confident advising on inheritance tax and estate planning
- Knowledge of LPAs, Court of Protection, and mental capacity law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage a varied caseload independently
- Understanding of complex family structures and high-value estates
- STEP or ACTAPS membership (or working towards it) is an advantage
- Client-focused approach with a warm and professional manner
