We are working with a progressive, full-service commercial law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, pragmatic advice to an impressive client base. The firm is now seeking to appoint a talented Employment Associate (1–3 PQE) to join its growing team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable and ambitious employment lawyer to become part of a dynamic and collegiate practice.

The team is led by a highly personable and approachable Partner and is made up of lawyers who have trained and worked at some of London’s most prominent law firms, ensuring exposure to top-tier work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s employment offering, with an initial focus on corporate support work. The team advises a significant private equity client, and as such, you will be heavily involved in the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and providing strategic employment advice in a deal context.

While the role will initially be weighted towards corporate support, there will be ample opportunity over time to develop a broader employment practice. This will include advisory and contentious matters such as day-to-day HR support, senior exits, employment tribunal claims, and complex workplace issues.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Employment Solicitor with 1–3 years’ PQE
  • Strong experience in employment corporate support work, ideally gained at a well-regarded City or regional firm
  • A solid grounding in transactional employment matters, including due diligence and drafting in a corporate context
  • Commercially minded, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective client relationships
  • A team player with the drive and ambition to develop their practice within a growing team
