We are partnered with a well-established UK commercial law firm with a particularly strong reputation in real estate, housing and the public sector space. We are looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor (2–5 PQE) to join a well-established and growing team. This is a broad role offering a genuine mix of contentious and non-contentious work, with the autonomy to run your own caseload while being supported on more complex matters.

The role would suit someone who is confident managing day-to-day employment matters, enjoys building client relationships, and is keen to develop a specialism alongside a general advisory practice.

The Team

The team is recognised in both Legal 500 and Chambers, and there is a collaborative feel across the wider business, including close interaction with other departments on cross-disciplinary matters. There is also a small but growing flow of individual client work.

The Work

You’ll be responsible for managing your own caseload, with exposure to a broad range of matters, including:

  • General advisory work
  • TUPE advice and drafting
  • Employment Tribunal matters through to hearing (with some advocacy where appropriate)
  • Settlement agreements (employer and employee side)
  • Support on restructures and industrial relations issues
  • Due diligence and support on corporate / wider business projects
  • Delivering training to clients on employment law topics

You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in business development, marketing activity, and supporting partners on more complex matters.

What we're looking for

  • 2–5 years’ PQE as an Employment Solicitor (England & Wales qualified)
  • Confident managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Strong technical grounding with a commercial, pragmatic approach
  • Good communicator who enjoys working directly with clients
  • Organised, proactive and able to juggle competing deadlines
  • Keen to contribute to team growth and client development
