Location: Remote home working with in-person get togethers with the team in Newcastle & London. This role also requires international travel as needed for the delivery of projects.

Position Type: Full Time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract

These often include large-scale, multi-generational family adventures, milestone celebrations, and corporate retreats—experiences that demand exceptional creativity and meticulous attention to detail.

We are looking for an Account Manager to provide 12 months maternity cover, to support a small and dynamic team in the creation and delivery of complex and unique projects.

The successful candidate needs to be outgoing and will be involved in multiple accounts. Directly supporting the Head of Special Projects in the post booking and planning phase of each project; ensuring regular updates and amendments to itineraries are communicated to the relevant parties, as well as creating content for client documentation, and anything other administration or logistical need connected to managing the account. There is a client-facing role to be played and there will also be requirement to travel internationally as required to host and help deliver the special project on-site.

Extremely close attention to detail and a keen aesthetic eye are required. It is a role suited to someone who is highly organised with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve and multi-task who is operational and logistical minded. In turn, you will gain an insight into a diverse range of functions within a multi-award-winning international travel company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with a small, dedicated team to help coordinate complex and unique travel experiences and events, for a select and exclusive portfolio of clients
  • Guide and motivate the operations team to deliver flawless events from concept through execution, maintaining the highest standards of quality
  • Liaising with the Special Projects sales team and local partners in each destination to collate information and ensure each itinerary detail is accurate, well-presented and communicated in a timely manner
  • Manage the event build up and be the main point of contact for that project with our local partners in the build-up. Creatively pushing boundaries with our partners and ensuring each event incorporates Black Tomato values
  • Manage budgets and financial objectives while analysing event performance to maximize profitability
  • Accurately recording client information in self-designed client facing documents as well as our CRM system, whilst developing the ability to navigate CRM system fluently
  • As necessary, conduct site visits and host events.

Skills required:

  • A passion for operations and genuine interest in the luxury travel market and event management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A strong track record of planning, managing, and delivering exceptional events on both a large and small scale
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to ensure you can meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrates commercial insight, with expertise in managing budgets and achieving financial targets
  • Clear communicator who can communicate effectively with the clients, the internal team and external suppliers / in-country partners
  • A ‘here to help’ attitude, who absolutely, fundamentally believes that we’re better together, happy to share ideas and take constructive feedback
  • Fully proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Copywriting / Adobe InDesign experience desirable
