A leading Private Credit hedge fund based in London is looking to hire a Private Credit Fund Accountant to support its growing Private Credit and Distressed Banking Loans business. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join a high-performing investment environment with exposure to complex distressed bank loans and private credit strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end Private Credit accounting and reporting for private credit funds and related vehicles.
- Prepare and review NAV calculations, investor capital statements, and financial statements.
- Manage fund cash, including capital calls, distributions, and reconciliations.
- Liaise with fund administrators, auditors, custodians, and internal stakeholders.
- Support deal lifecycle accounting, including investment bookings, valuations, and exits.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- 5-10 years of experience in Private Credit Fund Accounting, ideally with exposure to private credit, debt funds, or hedge funds.
- Strong understanding of Tax - K-1 schedules / PFIC tax reporting for US entities.
- Prior Systems Coverage PMS / OMS namely - Enfusion, Broadridge, Front Arena will be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with fund accounting systems is advantageous.
