A multi asset hedge fund in London is looking to hire a Physical Commodities, Metals Physical Operations Analyst to support its Metals Trading Physical Commodities Operations team in London. This is a unique opportunity for a Physical Commodities, Metals Operations Analyst to support a fund that is growing its Physical Metals Trade Commodities business in London.

The fund has hired new Metals traders, and this role will support the newly formed Metals trading desks with day to day trade management across Concentrates, Refined Metals trading activities and risk management. The business covers Physical and Financial Metals Commodity Derivative Operations products lines.

More about the Hedge Fund Energy – Metals Trading Operations Group – The business has seen double digit growth over the last few years, and on for another profitable year and openly expanding its assets under management and investment strategies. Products covered – Physical Commodities, Metals (Base & Precious) and working through several exchanges.

The role will be diverse in nature, covering Metals Commodities trade bookings, trade capture, trade enrichment (reconciliations / settlements) and trade life cycle management (physical trade allocations, logistics – Commercial Metals Operations).

  • The business is genuinely focused on cross training and supporting Physical Commodities Trade Operations Analyst with experience in Metals Operations in a high volume business environment.
  • Due to the high performing nature of this fund, the business is looking for Commodities Trade Operations / Middle Office Analyst to move into the buy side.

Prerequisite Requirements:

  • 1-5 years within a fast paced Metals Commodities Middle Office Trading Operations, working for Hedge Fund, Tier 1 Investment Bank, or top tier Investment Manager or High Frequency Trading Firm.
  • Product Knowledge across Metals Physical Commodities / Exchange Traded Commodity Operations.
  • Prior proven experience and examples do projects and process improvements that you have led, to drive operational excellence, efficiencies, generate cost savings and improve accuracy.
  • Attitude of Continuous improvement and clear examples to reflect this in your CV.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
