We are seeking a Database Developer on behalf of our client, who is an established data-focused financial services company in London. The role sits within a small, collaborative technology team and offers broad exposure across the business, working closely with various stakeholders and teams.
The successful candidate will join an agile team working across new and existing data processing systems and will work in a hands-on role combining SQL development, data investigation, and production support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and optimise SQL-based data processing solutions
- Investigate and resolve data issues raised by internal users
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and correction across large datasets
- Troubleshoot production issues and deploy fixes
- Improve performance of queries, transformations, and database structures
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in data pipelines and internal tooling
- 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong T-SQL skills (query writing, performance tuning, indexing)
- Experience with Azure SQL Database
- Experience handling structured data (CSV, XML)
- Experience using Git for source control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly with data anomalies
