Our client seeks a knowledgeable legal professional to be their General Counsel. You will be the sole professional onsite in the business (albeit working fully remotely) and in that vein need comfort covering a range of legal issues. You will be responsible for being the face of the business to the industry. The role combines legal leadership, governance leadership, stakeholder engagement and delivery of the organisation’s policy and regulatory agenda.
Key responsibilities:
- Secretary to the Board and governance fora
- Legal advice to Board on governance, regulatory and contractual matters
- Oversight of subscription contract and rules framework
- Regulatory engagement and stakeholder representation
- Leadership of policy and secretariat team
As such we are ideally seeking the below experience:
- Senior lawyer (10+ years PQE)
- Financial services / regulatory experience
- Board governance experience
