Sanctions Advisory – 9-Month FTC

Location: London | Hybrid

An international bank is seeking a contractor to join its Sanctions Advisory team, supporting both core sanctions activity and the broader financial crime function. Reporting into the Head of Sanctions, the role has a strong focus on trade finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support sanctions risk assessments and advise the business on sanctions-related matters
• Undertake and support QA and other reviews as required.
• Sanctions screening and alert review – to conduct a review of alerts generated in relation to sanctions and provide support to the team in the collation of material and research.
• Assist with investigations and the preparation of MI for senior stakeholders
• Monitor developments in global sanctions regulations and update internal policies accordingly

Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ experience in a bank’s sanctions compliance team
• Solid understanding of sanctions legislation and enforcement trends
• Experience with trade finance from a financial crime perspective
• Strong research and communication skills
