A growing hedge fund seeking a highly motivated Hedge Fund Trading Assistant (TA) – Operations to support our front office trading team in London. This role sits at the intersection of trading, operations, and risk, and is critical to ensuring efficient trade execution, accurate position management, and smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational trading support to portfolio managers and traders covering Fixed Income, Rates, Credit and Equities.
- Trade booking, allocation, confirmation, and reconciliation across asset classes.
- Monitor positions, P&L, cash balances, and breaks; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Liaise with prime brokers, custodians, administrators, and internal teams.
- Support trade lifecycle management from execution through settlement.
- Assist with corporate actions, margin management, and financing activities.
- Maintain and improve operational processes, controls, and documentation.
- Support ad hoc analysis and reporting for the front office and risk team.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in trading operations, middle office, or trading assistant role (hedge fund or investment).
