What you’ll be doing

  • Coordinate the compliance governance and reporting activities across the UK, and liaise with regional teams to ensure consistency and control.
  • Manage and maintain the regulatory inventory, escalate regulatory change, support risk assessments and control monitoring.
  • Deliver/oversee testing, monitoring, issue remediation and reporting in accordance with the 1LOD (First Line of Defence) model.
  • Act as a key stakeholder interface: build relationships with business lines, 2LOD risk & compliance, and group functions to maintain control frameworks and respond to regulatory obligations.
  • Use data-driven insight to identify trends, drive continuous improvement and enhance transparency of compliance governance.

What we’re looking for

  • Extensive experience in compliance governance, regulatory affairs or control oversight within a renowned financial services organisation.
  • Strong technical skills: advanced Excel (e.g., pivot tables, macros, dashboards) and PowerPoint. Comfortable manipulating data and delivering insights into senior committee papers.
  • Familiarity with UK and European regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCA, PRA, MiFID II, SMCR, ESMA).
  • Conscientious, organised and comfortable working in a matrix environment: you’ll be managing multiple stakeholders and delivering to tight deadlines.
