Asset Manager seeks risk specialist to join their function and help build out the framework and reporting capabilities for the risk department. You will ideally have alternatives exposure to progress with this role but it is not essential.
Working as part of a larger risk function you will need to be willing to get involved in areas of risk management that you might not have covered before. The main focus of the role is on the operational risk side and this is where someone's background and skill set needs to come from. However, you will learn, grow and develop into covering the other parts of the risk world and experience as such would be beneficial.
The business in question is focused on real assets and alternatives investments and as such, some product and fund structure knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
