Recovery Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and functionality
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
Qualifications:
- Valid HGV license with Tacho card and CPC
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Ideally proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Previous experience preferred but if not full training will be provided. The ideal candidate would live close by to Cambridge. Recovery driver can start/finish work from home.
