Brighton + London | Full-Time/ Restaurant Based

We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Manager to lead the voice, content and creative energy for Black Rock Restaurants – some of Brighton and London’s most exciting restaurant brands. Black Rock Restaurants is one of Brighton’s leading independent hospitality groups, known for creating vibrant restaurants, bars, and hospitality experiences across the city. The group includes Burnt Orange, The Coal Shed Brighton, The Coal Shed London, Tutto, The Salt Room, and The Crazy Goose.

From late-night cocktails at Burnt Orange to fire‑led feasting at The Coal Shed and the relaunch of The Salt Room, this is a role for someone who lives and breathes hospitality, culture, food, drinks and social storytelling. You’ll lead social media across the group while helping shape wider brand campaigns, launches, partnerships and guest experiences – creating work that not only looks great, but delivers real commercial impact.

One day you could be capturing content during a busy dinner service, the next launching a new menu campaign, hosting influencers, planning an event or presenting ideas to senior leadership. We’re looking for someone creative, commercially aware and confident working across multiple fast‑moving brands. You can expect to be on‑site across our restaurants, events and launches, creating content where the action happens. This role is not office based.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead day‑to‑day social media and content execution across the group
  • Create high‑quality content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other social platforms
  • Shoot and edit content in venues, capturing both planned campaigns and reactive moments
  • Own and manage content calendars across all brands
  • Support launches, seasonal campaigns, events and activations
  • Ensure every brand’s tone of voice and visual identity is consistent and engaging
  • Drive awareness, engagement and bookings through standout creative content
  • A highly hands‑on content role, including photography, videography, reels and short‑form video production across multiple platforms.
  • Ownership of content capture and social activation around launches, partnerships, events and PR moments
  • Acting as guardian of tone of voice, visual identity and brand positioning across each venue

Brand & Campaigns

  • Support wider marketing campaigns, partnerships and key trading periods
  • Help deliver major brand moments including launches, relaunches and seasonal campaigns
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing Director on brand direction and campaign priorities
  • Ensure all communications are commercially relevant and aligned with brand standards

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with GMs, chefs and operational teams
  • Collaborate across sales, digital and operations
  • Present ideas confidently and influence stakeholders across the business
  • Manage feedback constructively while protecting creative quality and brand consistency
  • Relationship building, influencing stakeholders and acting as a brand champion across the venues

Commercial & Performance

  • Track and report on campaign and social performance
  • Understand what drives bookings, covers and revenue — not just engagement
  • Use trends, insights and analytics to continuously improve output and effectiveness
  • Support wider commercial planning through guest and social insights
  • Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong social media and content creation experience
  • Excellent eye for brand, photography and storytelling
  • Confidence capturing and editing content in fast‑paced hospitality environments
  • 2‑3 years Experience working in a similar role within hospitality, lifestyle or premium consumer brands
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of performance marketing
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Energetic, proactive and confident working across multiple stakeholders
  • Genuine passion for restaurants, food, drinks, hospitality and culture

What Success In This Role Looks Like

  • Driving engagement, awareness and bookings across all brands
  • Delivering consistent, high‑quality campaigns and content
  • Supporting revenue growth through effective social and brand activity
  • Maintaining an embedded content calendar across all six brands
  • Achieving agreed YoY follower and engagement growth targets
  • Successfully attributing bookings and commercial impact to social campaigns
  • Delivering key trading moments including: Salt Room relaunch, Summer terrace season, Christmas trading campaigns

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package
  • Free food and drinks while working
  • Team incentives, trips and rewards
  • 50% discount across all Black Rock Restaurants
  • Your birthday off – guaranteed
  • Additional holiday entitlement with length of service
