We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well‑established operator within the renewable energy sector for an AD Plant Operator to be based at their site in Surrey. Reporting to the AD Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of the Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant. This is a hands‑on position combining laboratory analysis with process monitoring and operational support. You will be responsible for collecting and analysing samples from the AD plant and providing accurate data to support process optimisation. The role also involves monitoring the plant via a SCADA process screen located in the laboratory and reporting any anomalies or issues to the operations team.
Main Duties
- Collect digester material, water and other routine samples from the AD plant
- Carry out routine laboratory analysis using instrumental and wet chemistry techniques
- Record, interpret and report analytical results for operational monitoring
- Support the Assistant Operations Manager and Senior Operators with process data
- Monitor the AD process via the SCADA system and report any abnormalities
- Ensure reagents, chemicals, consumables and equipment are fit for purpose
- Maintain stock levels of laboratory supplies and consumables
- Keep the laboratory clean, organised and compliant with safety standards
Salary & Benefits
£13.00 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Monday to Friday – 08:00 - 16:00
