We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join the Barbican Music team, to co‑ordinate all aspects of pre‑production and event management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Barbican productions to the highest technical and artistic standard, through competent and precise advanced planning, administration, communication, budgeting and the supervision of events. A working knowledge of event travel, hotels, backline, technical riders, staging, visas and FEU tax is required. Evening and weekend work is an integral part of the role.

This position will focus on music events of all genres of the Music programme in the Barbican Concert Hall and in off‑site venues. To be successful in your application you will need an extensive and wide‑ranging working knowledge of music, substantial experience in an event management role in a similar environment (multi‑disciplinary arts venue, music festival or performing arts organisation) and a high level of interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills are also essential.

The ability to multitask, work under pressure and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Weekend and evening work is required in this role.

£44,110 to £49,140 inclusive of Inner London Weighting
