Kings Place is an adventurous music and arts venue with an ambition to inspire local community and promote the power of the arts in our society. Its venues enable learning, discovery, debate and experiences that are powerfully intimate, enabling human connection between artists and audiences.
The dedicated and supportive team programmes a series of festivals and events, developing cross-arts collaborations and artistic relationships that deliver unforgettable live experiences.
The award-winning concert series, Unwrapped, is our flagship programme, exploring big ideas and overarching themes across the year. Kings Place is also the UK’s home of live podcasting as creators and hosts of the London Podcast Festival.
Run as a registered charity under the name of Kings Place Music Foundation (KPMF, charity number 1107839), it does not receive regular public funding. Income is generated through ticket sales, donations, grants, and the staging of world-class conferences and events.
The Role
Kings Place is recruiting for an Assistant Visitor Services Manager – Box Office. The role will lead by example and actively promote Kings Place, its diverse programming, and activities, while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the Box Office to ensure a seamless, efficient, and welcoming experience for all visitors.
A key focus will be on contributing to the management, development, and motivation of the Box Office team to foster a friendly, knowledgeable, and service-oriented environment.
The Person
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated ticketing professional to join our Visitor Services team at Kings Place.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team. With experience in ticketing systems and supervisory roles within customer service and sales environments, they will be flexible, able to work weekends and evenings as required, and committed to build a knowledgeable, professional environment that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
This role is ideal for individuals eager to utilise their supervisory experience and develop within a management role, with opportunities for growth and professional development as part of a vibrant arts organisation.
Experience with Tessitura, budget control, and social media customer service is desirable, along with a background in Front of House roles in arts or cultural venues.
Salary: £26,000 – £28,000, pro-rata (depending on qualifications and experience)

Kings Place operates a hybrid working model. The role is predominantly venue based, requiring an on-site presence for team briefings, meetings and supporting day-to-day box office operations. Administrative work can be done remotely with line manager approval.
This role is open to flexible working arrangements after successful completion of a probation period.
