Black Knight Media is currently looking for a Financial Reporter - Securities Finance & Asset Servicing to join our team based in London. This is a Hybrid role, working four days in office, one day working from home. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of Β£25,000 β Β£28,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Financial Reporter role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, story-hungry financial reporter to join our editorial team. We offer the chance to be a genuine influence, covering one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving sectors.
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious journalist with a keen interest in finance, as well as a developing track record as a reporter. Knowledge of securities finance, asset servicing, or broader capital markets would be advantageous, but most important is a genuine passion for financial journalism.
As well as news stories, the role includes in-depth feature writing and interviewing some of the biggest names in the industry, for both print and online platforms across our portfolio of titles. In this position, you will cover a wide range of topics in depth β from regulatory changes and compliance challenges, to technological innovation, market volatility, and industry consolidation trends.
Working closely with the editorial team, this full-time role requires willingness to attend industry conferences and events, often involving international travel, plus a desire to rapidly grasp the complex dynamics of global financial markets and their impact on our readership.

Skills and Experience:
Required:
- A track record of producing high-quality copy and delivering exclusive stories
- Interest in financial services, capital markets, and/or UK business news
- Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team
Desirable:
- Qualification in journalism, MA, NCTJ etc.
- Knowledge of securities finance, asset servicing, capital markets, and the broader financial markets
- Ability to edit colleagues' copy when required
