THE ROLE

As a Runner at Black Kite you will be a key member of our support team, helping to ensure the smooth running of the studio.

The Runner role is a great opportunity to gain experience across all our departments and provides a route into other roles within the studio. For this particular role, we are ideally looking for candidates who are looking to pursue a career in VFX Production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing a 5 star hospitality service for our clients within the studio.
  • Being an approachable and enthusiastic point of call for both clients and colleagues.
  • Setting up the studio in the morning & ensuring the suites/offices are ready for the busy day ahead/ clearing and prepping in the evening – Dependent on the shift pattern.
  • Taking initiative to keep track of stocks and supplies, liaising with FOH to ensure orders are placed when necessary.
  • Ensuring refreshments, stationery and essentials are well stocked throughout the day.
  • External runs, couriers, mail and deliveries.
  • Responsible for ensuring the kitchen, suites and open plan areas are clean, tidy and well presented at all times.
  • Handling petty cash & reconciling daily.
  • Supporting the studio team with ad hoc duties.

  • Proactive and able to work unsupervised and thrive in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • An enthusiastic, quick thinker who is able to use their initiative.
  • A \’can do\’ attitude with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, completing them efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Willingness to learn and flexible attitude.
  • Some hospitality experience would be ideal.
