As Lead 2D Artist at Black Kite, you are responsible for delivering creative excellence from pitch through to delivery. Using your deep working knowledge of the VFX pipeline, you will provide technical and creative leadership to the team working across the 2D pipeline on a broad range of high-end VFX projects. You will collaborate with the VFX Supervisors and Producers to deliver outstanding VFX work on time and on budget. You may work onsite or remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with VFX Supervisors to develop and implement creative and technical solutions for the 2D requirements across a range of VFX projects.
  • Create outstanding creative work.
  • Lead teams of 2D artists to success across a wide range of high-end VFX projects.
  • Work with the Production team to pitch for and win projects while developing client relationships.
  • Provide shoot supervision, ensuring we capture all required data whilst delivering an excellent client experience.
  • Support and mentor creative talent.
  • Deliver client feedback clearly and constructively to your team.
  • Deliver projects that look visually outstanding on time and on budget.
  • Inspire a culture of creative innovation.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for BLACK KITE.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering outstanding VFX work in commercials.
  • Experience leading or supervising teams of 2D artists to success.
  • Great understanding of the whole VFX pipeline.
  • Production experience with both Nuke and Flame.
  • On-set VFX supervision experience.
  • Experience dealing with high-profile clients and directors; motivated to develop further.
  • Working knowledge of Nuke and 2D workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Team-player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Passionate about providing creative solutions and delivering creative excellence.
  • Ambitious and eager to deliver excellence at all times.
  • Keenness to learn and always seek opportunities to expand skills.
