Studio Designer
As Black Kite's Studio Designer, you will work with our Production and Creative teams to create outstanding pitch decks with stunning visuals to help win work and convey what makes Black Kite so unique. You will be responsible for designing all Black Kite branded content, including pitches, presentations, event merchandise, internal communications, flyers, and social media campaigns. You will collaborate with the Founders and Leadership Team to ensure that all designs meet project and client needs and are consistent with the Black Kite brand.
Responsibilities
- Design visually compelling and engaging pitch decks to win work.
- Collaborate with the Production & Creative teams to understand each project and its requirements, gathering all necessary information.
- Research and source high-quality imagery and video references that align with each project and the director’s visions.
- Create mood boards and style frames.
- Design all Black Kite branded content for both internal and external use.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the studio’s creative output, ensuring quick access and provision of relevant references for pitches.
- Continuously review and evolve the studio’s visual identity, contributing fresh ideas to enhance deck design and pitch presentations.
- Participate in creative brainstorms and contribute innovative ideas.
- Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials, exercising discretion when communicating with the wider team.
- Gather, respond to, and incorporate feedback in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and agencies as needed.
- Keep on top of the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously elevate the quality and impact of our pitches and designs.
Qualifications
- Highly creative with a solid understanding of core design and branding principles.
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and a range of presentation software.
- Ability to create new and innovative design concepts and visuals while maintaining the Black Kite brand and tone of voice.
- Strong understanding of typography and layout principles.
- Strong appreciation for and understanding of film-making and cinematography.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Great team player and creative problem solver.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – and confidence dealing with people of all levels of seniority.
- Solutions orientated and eager to innovate.
- Enjoyable working in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
