With over 50 years of expertise in their field, a leading distribution company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join their highly successful team on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will:
- Assist with the overall site management for the depot.
- Co-ordinate warehouse activities to ensure the process of inbound, dispatch and reverse logistics are to the agreed standard outlined in contract KPIs.
- Anticipate and plan the required staffing-hours.
- Liaise with clients to schedule daily collection and return loads.
- Oversee and ensure that all trailers/vehicles are unloaded/loaded daily.
- Co-ordinate customer requirements for deliveries and plan loads accordingly.
- Liaise with clients/hauliers daily regarding delivery and stock requirements.
- Investigate/report all workplace accidents or incidents immediately.
- Conduct and review workplace risk assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Deal with staff management.
- Liaise with management when necessary regarding manpower levels.
- Liaise with the Shift Manager regularly regarding any problems that may arise (operational/security/team performance etc).
- Assist line manager/supervisor and other members of the team in completing tasks.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties.

- Experience of working within a similar role.
- Previous Supervisory experience.
