We are working with a leading food producer to appoint their new Technical Manager, initially on a 12-month contract at their impressive site in Derry. Offering flexible hours of work (07:30am- 15:50pm OR 8:30am 16:30pm) and reporting to the General Manager you will:
- Lead the site's technical, quality and food safety function within a modern red meat processing facility
- Implement, review and improve the site Quality Management System
- Ensure compliance with BRCGS, customer, retailer and regulatory standards
- Lead HACCP, food safety culture and quality improvement programmes
- Manage internal, customer, certification and regulatory audits
- Drive corrective and preventative actions from audits, non-conformances, complaints and food safety issues
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and manage customer quality and compliance relationships
- Coach and develop the technical team to deliver high performance
What we are looking for:
- Ideally educated to degree level in food / related discipline
- Technical Management or Senior Technical experience within a food production setting, ideally experience in meat processing
- Quality Management Systems experience
- HACCP qualified
- Experience of External audits
