This is your opportunity to join a leading supplier into the construction industry who due to continued success are seeking for a Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to join their successful team on a permanent basis
About you
- +2 years experience working within a similar role – ideally construction or manufacturing
- Proficient with MS Office
- Experience of using an MRP/ERP system
Duties
- Monitor the performance of suppliers and products
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
- Monitor and manage suppliers
- Manage the Purchasing function
- Take overall responsibility for the obsolete stock process
- Forecast future demand
- Process and input orders
- Conduct industry and market research
- Maintain stock levels
- Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets
- Source, coordinate and scheduling the receipt of raw material
- Source new materials, packaging and suppliers.
- Monitor of shortages and procurement of stock to meet market demands.
- Maintain records of current outstanding orders as well as deliveries partially fulfilled,
- Manage and maintain up-to-date supplier lists and pricing arrangements
