An established electrical contracting company working with prestigious clients across the Educational, Industrial, and Commercial sectors throughout the UK and Ireland is seeking a proactive and self-motivated Electrical Testing Engineer to join its growing team. This is a predominantly site-based role, ideal for an experienced professional who is confident in their technical abilities, able to work independently, and possesses strong organisational skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical inspection and testing, completing certification, and supporting compliance and quality assurance activities across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Fixed Wire Testing and certification EICRs, Emergency Lighting inspections, and PAT Testing
- Fault finding and diagnostic work
- Testing and certification of electrical installations, including EV chargers
- Site audits and compliance reporting
- Supporting installation teams with testing and certification
- Maintaining client relationships and coordinating testing schedules
- Mentoring apprentices in inspection and testing
- Inspection & Testing qualification
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and compliance standards
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Experience producing EICRs, Emergency Lighting, and PAT reports
- EV Charger Installation and Testing certification
- Good IT skills
