We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded nursing home in the Cookstown area for a Nurse Manager (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse leader seeking a stable, weekday management role within a supportive care environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, effective leadership ability, and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the home, leading and inspiring the nursing and care teams to consistently achieve the highest standards.

The Role:

  • Provide strong, visible leadership to a dedicated and motivated multidisciplinary team
  • Oversee the day-to-day management and operational performance of the home
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care to all residents
  • Maintain and continuously improve clinical and social care standards
  • Lead, mentor, and support nursing and care staff to promote professional development
  • Develop, review, and implement clinical policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
  • Manage staffing, resources, and budgets to ensure financial sustainability
  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals

What We're Looking For:

  • A fully qualified General Nurse (RGN), Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
  • A valid NMC PIN
  • A minimum of 2 years nursing experience (Deputy Nurse Manager), with leadership experience desirable
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive, compassionate leadership style with a focus on quality improvement
