A leading aerospace interiors manufacturer is seeking a Certification Engineer to join its Engineering Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering innovative design solutions and ensuring compliance with international airworthiness standards. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and certification of aircraft seating and interior systems for customers across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all technical documentation, including specifications, test plans, compliance reports and certification files for aircraft seating products.
  • Support engineering development activities by ensuring compliance with airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to coordinate product compliance and technical substantiation.
  • Process concessions and changes through internal systems to maintain continued airworthiness.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analysis, guiding regulatory impacts.
  • Assist in bid preparation and statements of work for new customer requirements.
  • Provide technical support in troubleshooting and resolving product or compliance issues.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects, ensuring performance to cost, time and quality targets.

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant Engineering degree, recognised Apprenticeship, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and certification principles.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and CAD tools.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve complex engineering and compliance issues.
  • High technical acumen with a creative, solutions-focused mindset.

Desirable:

  • General knowledge of EASA/FAA certification regulations (e.g. CFR Part 25).
  • Experience working in an aerospace compliance or certification role.
  • Understanding of aircraft interiors, materials, and structural integration.
