We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production machinery within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Duties
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise downtime
- Diagnose faults and implement long-term fixes
- Monitor performance and identify recurring issues
- Maintain CMMS records and engineering logs
- Support continuous improvement and OEE initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
- Work closely with production teams and external contractors
Requirements
- 3-5 years maintenance engineering experience (Food/FMCG essential)
- Mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance
- CMMS experience
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- PLC fault-finding
- Lean / CI experience
