BlackFox Solutions are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing organisation, seeking an experienced and hands-on Company Accountant to take ownership of the finance function while supporting wider business operations. This is a broad, commercially focused role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of the business and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities, including reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Produce year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely month-end close
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain strong cash flow oversight
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes (weekly and monthly), including pension compliance and statutory requirements
  • Coordinate payment runs and maintain robust financial controls around supplier payments
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT and other statutory returns across relevant jurisdictions
  • Manage regulatory and statistical reporting requirements to external bodies
  • Support the preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Oversee credit control processes to optimise cash collection and reduce risk
  • Supervise and support junior finance team members

Wider Business Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to operational processes, including oversight of internal systems and data integrity
  • Monitor and report on key business KPIs, supporting strategic planning
  • Maintain reporting requirements for key stakeholders and external partners
  • Support contract management and service agreement tracking
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operational processes
  • Provide ad hoc support across the business as required

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • 3+ Years Experience working within a dealership (Preferable)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role
  • Comfortable working in a broad role that spans finance and operations
  • Strong systems skills and a proactive approach to process improvement
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
