We are working with a leading supplier of transport, storage and order fulfilment within the healthcare sector to recruit for their new Transport First Line Manager to join them at their Mallusk facility on a permanent basis.

Reporting into management you will be controlling transport operations and staff and ensuring company targets & quality standards are achieved, this will include:

  • Management of drivers by leading and motivating and to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to
  • Ensuring delivery to overall operational performance - productivity, cost and service KPI's
  • Set out daily driver runs and assign drivers to routes
  • Establish, monitor and re-target productivity for Transport teams
  • Ensuring that Safe Working Practices are adhered to at all times
  • Ongoing staff management of direct reports; including setting objectives, regular reviews, identifying training needs, handling employment issues and finding suitable resolution

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced in a similar role, to include; Transport operations management
  • Experience of leading or supervising staff
  • 3PL logistics background
  • Confident IT skills to include a transport management system or similar
