Job Title Information, Advice and Guidance AdvisorPosition available 1 full‐time position (37.5 hours, Monday‐Friday, 9am‐5pm), based at Head Office, SandwellSalary £24,784.50 – £25,492.36 (dependent on experience)Closing date 28 May 2026Is this you? We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our dynamic fast‐paced front‐door service. The individual will support victims/survivors of violence, assist colleagues and liaise with external professionals. They must be empathetic, skilled in motivational interviewing and knowledgeable about safeguarding around abuse.The Role This position will deliver a trauma‐informed first‐contact, care and support to clients who are victims/survivors of abuse. The postholder will provide high‐quality information, advice and guidance to victims of domestic abuse offering Tier 1 support, conduct risk assessment, consider victim impact and decide next steps. The IAG will handle referrals, offer initial representation to BCWA for those wishing to become case workers, and work within set response targets to improve victims' outcomes. The role requires timely response, excellent interpersonal skills, IT competence and efficient, organised administration.Responsibilities Deliver trauma‐informed first‐contact care to victims/survivors of abuse.Provide Tier 1 support, risk assessment and advice to domestic abuse victims.Take referrals from all avenues and offer initial representation for BCWA.Work within response targets to improve victims' outcomes.Maintain efficient and organised administrative records.Requirements Empathy, motivational interviewing skills, safeguarding knowledge around abuse, IT proficiency. All candidates must be female under Equality Act 2010 part 1 Schedule 9 and must prove right to work in the UK. A DBS check at the relevant level is required.Legal & Compliance All posts are subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
