Our client is a successful and fast-growing Facilities Management and MEP Projects company operating across the UK. With a strong track record in delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects ranging in value from 1 million to 10 million, they offer innovative, high-quality solutions to clients in the industrial, commercial, and educational sectors. As part of their continued growth, our client are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background within the construction industry, specifically with a strong mechanical bias.
Role information:
- Salary – Up to 50,000 per annum
- Company car provided
- Working hours – Monday to Friday (8am‑5pm)
- Working location – Hybrid Role with a mix of Telford Office & Home working permitted (One day per week in the Telford Office as a minimum)
The successful candidate will have the relevant experience below:
- Experience in carrying out Mechanical building services design within the construction industry
- Experience working on projects within the industrial / Commercial and education sectors
- HNC in Relevant Building Services
- Experience using Auto CAD
- Experience using Revit
- Experience using IES
- Must have experience in a similar position within the industry to hit the ground running
Additional skills required for the role:
- In-depth Mechanical expertise
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and design
- Competent IT / software skills
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to organise your time and be self‑motivated
