Our client (A global 3rd Party Logistics Provider) are seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to join our client's growing Sales Team. The ideal candidate will be a highly driven and commercially astute sales professional with a proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth within the ecommerce, fulfilment, or logistics sectors. They will bring strong experience in both new business development and account management, with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities across B2B and B2C markets. Confident in building and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships, they will combine excellent negotiation and communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating ownership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple commercial priorities, while consistently delivering against ambitious targets and driving long-term business growth.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Over achieving revenue and profit targets for all accounts
- Promote all services offered by our client
- Source new clients through cold calling
- Achieve new monthly business targets & KPI’s within contract term
- Driving growth of the business through new customers and enhanced offerings from existing customers
- Maintaining and recording accurate data within the CRM on a daily/weekly basis
- Producing annual Account Plans for nominated accounts
- Managing the customer contracts / SLAs
- Ensuring that the appropriate KPI measures are in place to ensure we meet our contract / SLA customer commitments and to enable internal monitoring of the customer’s performance against the Account plan
- Introduce (as appropriate) the full range of our client's propositions to customers
- Build and maintain strong and long-lasting relationships with all customers
- Effectively communicate with the customers to drive both continued revenue, profit growth and increased engagement
- Working closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and KPI adherence
- Establishing key contacts, relationships and connections across the wider sector
- Developing a deep understanding of the customers’ business including group and extended opportunities, competitive influences on the business, networking opportunities and customer competitors where our client could seize a marketing opportunity
- Ensuring customers are aware of the latest logistics solutions to drive efficiencies, grow the business and maximise potential
- Being the advocate for their client's needs within specific resource constraints
- Identifying cross-functional service/product opportunities
- Produce weekly sales reports and figures.

The successful candidate will have the following key skills and experience:
- Demonstrate strong achievements within ecommerce, fulfilment, and logistics sales (B2B & B2C)
- Bring at least 5 years of continued experience in international and domestic markets.
- Thorough understanding of carrier networks.
- Proven record of achieving revenue and profit targets
- Proven ability to grow accounts within the ecommerce market place through increased engagement and identifying opportunities
- New business success
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Create your own leads and maintain a full weekly diary
- A dynamic, pro-active approach to working with customers, quickly addressing their needs and ensuring any issues and challenges are resolved swiftly
- A proven ability to put the customer’s requirements at the heart of what our client do, striving to deliver high quality customer service at all times
- Strong understanding of B2B & B2C and working collaboratively across functions to achieve success
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organisations
- Track record of managing multiple commercial processes (budgets, contract renegotiation, KPI measurement), forecasting precisely, and identifying the solutions we can offer resulting in a positive commercial outcome for our client and their customers
- Full Clean Driving License
Company benefits:
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with option to purchase up to an additional 5 days.
- Basic salary plus car allowance
Relevant company backgrounds may include: DHL Ecommerce, The Hut Group, James & James, Pro Carrier, ShipBob, Huboo, or other 3PL fulfilment providers.
The successful candidate will preferably be based in the Midlands or Northwest. This position may include requirements to travel in the UK and abroad.
