Our client, a West-Midlands based award-winning company, are one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle body builders. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hard-working and reliable commercial body builder to join this established, experienced and friendly team. With a 4 day working week as standard, opportunities for overtime readily available & excellent rates of pay, this 40+ years established company is home to many industry specialists & experts in the vehicle body building field and are looking forward to growing the existing team.
Please see below for the knowledge and experience this position requires:
- Duties include:
- Install new vehicle wiring to current legislation.
- Install Camera Systems.
- Able to diagnose electrical issues and proposing a course of action.
- Repairing and replacing faulty wiring on electrical systems.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Manage your time to ensure installations are completed in given time.
- Conduct regular fitment audits and validate.
- Capable of becoming a trainer for all young apprentices.
- Maintain accurate record of stock levels relevant to your department.
- Develop and improve methods of installation.
- Experience required includes:
- Be able to read schematics and have experience working on HGV and LCV Class vehicles.
- Experience within Truck Body / Automotive Manufacturing Environment.
- A good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team is essential.
- Good communication both written and verbally.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Additional Information:
- 4 Day working week! Hours are: 7.00am - 5.00pm (Monday to Thursday).
- Overtime is available on Fridays and weekends according to business requirements.
