We\’re currently recruiting a Nights Customer Service Coordinator (weekend shifts) for a Global 3rd Party Logistics Company based in Redditch. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, be highly organised and remain focused under pressure. You must take control of tracking of movement of goods from A to B and keep customers informed. The post holder must be in full control at all times and be able to communicate at the highest level. Must have a can-do attitude and take pride in the job, any logistics co-ordinating experience is an advantage! The role will involve working with one or two others in a team whilst on nights You will be responsible for: * Loading orders onto the system * Tracking shipments * Negotiating rates with carriers when necessary * Building positive relationships with carriers * Planning vehicles * Communicating with subcontractors * Keeping customers updated as to the progress of jobs * Closing out job files by obtaining POD and any other required information (Purchase orders etc) and scanning documents onto the system * Ensuring clear and accurate communication with the warehouse so they are aware of returns and outgoing loads and can plan work effectively * Ensuring jobs are completed on the system and checked prior to invoicing * Ensuring paperwork is filed accurately and in a timely manner * Liaising with Operations, Accounts and Warehouse * Effective escalation of issues relating to customer/System requirements * Maintenance of system data and its integrity The successful candidate will have the following key skills/personal competencies and qualifications: * Must be computer literate including MS Office, email, spreadsheets and databases * Good level of numeracy and literacy * 5 GCSEs or equivalent * Excellent organisation and administrative skills * Good communication skills * Knowledge of the Transport and Freight forwarding industry is an advantage * Good listener with the ability to resolve issues * Self-managing and good attention to detail * Second language is an advantage * Ability to multitask and prioritise * Highly organised with the ability to remain focussed under pressure * Flexibility and a team player Additional information: * Salary – £31,460 inclusive of night shift allowance * Working hours: Friday – Monday nights starting at 19.00 through to 07.00am the following morning (4 day working with 1-hour unpaid break totalling 44 hours per week) * Holidays: 20 days holiday (5 weeks) plus bank holidays * Training schedule: Initial training will be completed working day hours, this is expected to be for 6 – 8 weeks, working 40 hours per week (salary will be pro rata during this period) If you\’re looking for your next job opportunity and you\’d like to work for a successful company that supports personal growth and career goals, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
