This position is a mobile role covering the West Midlands (predominantly Birmingham and Worcester).
Basic salary: £40,000 per annum.
Contract: The role is being offered as a full time, permanent PAYE position.
Our client is a successful and fast-growing Facilities Management and MEP Projects company operating across the UK. With a strong track record in delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects ranging in value from £1 million to £10 million, they offer innovative, high-quality solutions to clients in the industrial, commercial, and educational sectors.
As part of their continued growth, our client are now seeking an experienced and proactive Fire Alarm Engineer to join their maintenance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a company that values quality, collaboration, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and reactive maintenance tasks, including: Emergency fault finding, reactive repairs, installation, testing and PPM works, remedial works.
- Utilise our CAFM System BigChange to manage and document all maintenance activities, through accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate and communicate well with other team members and departments to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client concerns and queries promptly.
- Participate in a 1 in 4 weekly on-call rota to provide emergency support.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Fire Alarm Qualifications.
- Experience in working with Fire Alarm systems, including conventional, in the commercial industry.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel UK-wide.
- Ability to use digital CAFM systems (BigChange and other client portals such as Verisae. Training is provided for all systems if no previous experience).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications and skills which are beneficial but not required to apply:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3.
- 18th Edition Regulations.
- IPAF.

Travel, Assets & Further information:
- This is a mobile maintenance position and therefore whilst our client aims to keep each Engineer as near to home as possible, travel throughout your region is expected. Further travel may be requested on rare occasions due to absences / emergencies.
- On call Rota, Monday – Monday. Bonus + overtime rate.
