Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer in Birmingham

Head Office Location: Telford, Shropshire (this position is a mobile role covering the West Midlands and some national travel as required).

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum - however our client's engineers are paid hourly:

• £19.00 per hour for 42.5 hours worked each week
• £23.75 per hour for hours worked over 42.5 within each week
• £28.50 per hour for out of hours works - planned works after 5pm only
• Plus, £100.00 per week standby bonus for on-call rota

Contract: The role is being offered as a full time, permanent PAYE position.

Role Overview: Our client are Facilities Maintenance Contractors, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance with commercial and retail clients across the UK. We are recruiting for an AC and Heating Engineer to join their existing mobile maintenance team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out a range of plumbing maintenance work. Working within the maintenance team provides exciting opportunities to use a wide range of skills each day, in new and challenging environments.

The role will require work experience in the following areas:

• Fault Finding Heating Systems
• Pipefitting
• Air Conditioning
• Maintaining Plant Rooms
• The commercial industry
• Heating Controls
• Plumbing
• Basic Electrical
• General Building Maintenance (this is an advantage rather than essential experience required)

• A full manual driving license

This is a mobile maintenance position with regular travel to Midlands areas and some travel nationally as required.

The candidate will be part of a mandatory on call rota. This runs Monday – Monday. Standby Bonus + overtime rate for hours worked.

Please note: Operatives must provide their own hand and power tools for the role. Consumables and materials are provided as part of the role.
