Air and Sea Logistics Co-Ordinator (Based in Redditch) Hours of work: Monday – Friday (09.00 – 5.00) Permanent, full-time position Salary – Up to £33,000 per annum Our client, a successful International 3rd Party Logistics organisation are looking for an experienced Air and Sea Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team. We are looking for someone with air experience globally, booking directly with airlines or brokers: * Export and import, China, India, USA (scheduled freight and consol shipments) * Ability to negotiate rates * Knowledge of road freight for first and final mile * Customs knowledge preferred, especially incoterms * Fast paced environment * Sea freight experience would be a nice to have * Charter experience will be a nice to have Scope of the role To support customer requirements with International import and export transport requirements to a high level of customer service. To help secure new business by providing cost and time effective quotations. To support the manager/team leader in the overall growth of the department by maintaining daily roles. Your Duties will include: * To assist the manager/team leader in the day-to-day activities and running of the department * Responsible for operating International Import/Export shipping files, Sea, Air and Cross-Trade * Handling day-to-day general enquiries and providing updates for agents, customers, customer service, sales and BDs through phone and email in a timely manner * Raise job files in the transport system * Provide administration support including answering the telephone and dealing with customers daily, tracking shipments and notifying the customer of updates, capturing issues, and following them through to resolution * Handle supplier invoice queries · Handle customer invoice queries * Book and coordinate load and go import deliveries * Quote and raise insurance policies through relevant broker * Checking invoicing to ensure files are accurately costed * Investigate any matters of lost, delayed or damaged cargo and liase with the relevant stakeholders * Undertake any other duties as requested by the line manager, commensurate with the role If you are passionate about logistics and eager to contribute to a thriving team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
