About Black Bull Biochar (BBB): BBB is a growing UK company scaling the use of biochar, a carbon-rich material that improves soil health and removes carbon from the atmosphere. We exist to restore our environment, remove carbon and enrich our industrial and agricultural systems. The company is entering an exciting expansion phase and building a team that will define the future of regenerative agriculture, nutrient management, and carbon removal.
About the role: This is an important role for someone who enjoys supporting others, building relationships, and helping a commercial team operate smoothly. As Agri Sales Advisor, you will work closely with our in-house Agronomy team to deliver to farmers expertise on how biochar can work best for them and provide a positive sales experience. You will help accelerate the adoption of tailored biochar products in UK agriculture for the benefit of farmers.
You will support day-to-day sales activity including customer enquiries, lead follow-up, appointment coordination, CRM updates, logistics coordination, and general administrative tasks that keep the team moving. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment, enjoys speaking with people, and wants to help build the commercial foundations of a climate-tech company.
Key responsibilities:- Close the sales of biochar products to farmers and agriculture organisations and provide after-purchase advice and support.
- Provide advice to farmers on how they can utilise biochar products as a practical on-farm solution.
- Build and grow a network of innovative farmers championing biochar and drive UK adoption.
- Respond to inbound queries from farmers and partners in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
- Coordinate logistics: sending samples, scheduling farm visits, and supporting event preparation.
- Prepare company reports, presentations, and sales materials.
- Represent BBB positively at relevant events and agriculture shows.
- Support internal operations, including onboarding new partners and improving day-to-day systems.
- Essential:
- A strong background in agriculture, preferably with experience in regenerative farming.
- Experience in promoting agri-products; able to engage farmers and partners to communicate the benefits of BBB products.
- Organised and dependable, can manage multiple tasks and keep things moving without losing detail.
- Positive and adaptable, comfortable in a fast-changing start-up environment.
- UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly for farm visits.
- Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience in providing agronomy consulting/support.
- BASIS and FACTS qualifications (or clear commitment to achieving them).
- Experience in both livestock and arable farming.
You donβt need prior knowledge of biochar, weβll teach you. What matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to support the team effectively.
