Oakley Dental practice is looking to add a qualified dental nurse to our team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the dentist during dental procedures and ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. We will also consider trainee dental nurses with chairside experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the necessary instruments and materials
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
Skills:
- Excellent command of English language, both written and verbal
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Good patient care skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
- Proficiency in using dental software and IT systems
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients, dentists, and other team members
- Valid nursing license or certification
