Site Manager

Site Manager – Groundworks Location: North London Start Date: April 2025 Duration: 3 – 6 months We are looking for an experienced site manager with a strong groundworks background to oversee a three-month project in North London. The successful candidate will have experience managing groundworks packages up to £500k, leading multiple gangs, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and safely. There is potential for further opportunities beyond this project for the right candidate. Responsibilities: * Managing and supervising multiple gangs on-site * Reading and working from construction drawings * Overseeing groundworks operations, ensuring quality and efficiency * Ensuring health and safety compliance across the site * Managing site documentation, including ITTs and quality control * Using IT effectively for reporting and communication * Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders * Demolition experience is a bonus Requirements: * SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential) * At least five years’ experience in groundworks/site management * Ability to manage groundworks packages up to £500k * Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing multiple gangs * Competent with IT for site reporting, emails, and documentation * Solid understanding of health and safety requirements and regulations * Ability to read and interpret drawings accurately * Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach * Reliable, hands-on, and driven work ethic * A team player with a professional and collaborative attitude
