Black Bear is seeking an experienced and highly creative Publicity Manager, UK & International to join our London office working across the UK Distribution and International team on a 12‑month Fixed Term Contract. You’ll work closely with the VP Publicity and support festival, theatrical, platform and awards campaigns across the UK and international markets, working across a slate of films.
What You’ll Do
- Lead UK and international theatrical publicity campaigns from strategy to execution.
- Manage external publicity agencies and act as a key partner to filmmakers, talent teams and media.
- Support and co‑lead UK awards campaigns, including screenings, talent activity and events.
- Collaborate with marketing and brand teams on activations, premieres, festivals and special events.
- Drive innovative publicity ideas that cut through the marketplace.
- Oversee influencer and tastemaker strategy and engagement.
- Manage talent schedules and lead talent handling at junkets and premieres.
- Build strong relationships across print, broadcast, online and influencer media.
- Run PR agencies across multiple titles, including briefing, reporting and social measurement.
- Manage campaign budgets and supplier negotiations.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and act as the main point of contact for assigned titles.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of UK film/entertainment publicity experience (in‑house or agency).
- Strong understanding of the UK film industry and international markets.
- Proven experience with talent handling, festivals, junkets, premieres and awards campaigns.
- Excellent media contacts across the UK and Ireland, plus strong digital and influencer knowledge.
- Experience drafting PR plans, strategy decks and campaign documents.
- Confident budget management and agency oversight.
- Exceptional organisation, communication and attention to detail.
- A collaborative, calm and solutions‑focused approach in fast‑paced environments.
