About the Role
As Community Manager for Global Video, you’ll own the video creator community on Pexels end to end. This is both a strategic and execution‑focused role with a global remit. You’ll be responsible for growing the community of video contributors, keeping them engaged, and building the systems and playbooks that allow our regional Community Managers to bring video programming to their markets. You’ll work directly with the Head of Community on strategy, and then run with it to bring the video community to life. The expectation is that you’re close to the community, generating insights, running activations, and building the infrastructure that makes video a thriving vertical on Pexels. This community already exists, it just needs intentional programming and a dedicated advocate.
What You’ll Do
- Grow the Video Creator Community: Bring new video creators to Pexels through partnerships, challenges, events, and outreach — and own the targets and tracking. Identify partnership opportunities with creator communities, platforms, and organizations globally.
- Engage and Retain Existing Contributors: Design activations that celebrate and reward video creators, globally and with regional Community Managers. Build an event host program and recurring touchpoints that keep creators active and invested.
- Advocate for Contributors: Run structured feedback loops (surveys, interviews, forums) to understand what video creators need. Surface insights that shape platform decisions, creator tools, and content strategy — and bring the creator perspective into conversations with Product, Marketing, and Curation. Track health signals (churn, upload frequency, inactivity) to catch at‑risk contributors early.
- Build Systems and Playbooks: Create scalable frameworks — contests, spotlights, onboarding flows, engagement cadences — that regional Community Managers can run independently. Document what works, track community health metrics with Data and Operations, and make video a visible part of everything Pexels does.
What we’re looking for
- Experience managing or growing an online and in‑person creator community. You know what good engagement looks like and how to build it.
- Strong execution skills. You’re comfortable taking a direction and running with it, building as you go.
- A genuine interest in video and video creators. Ideally you’ve spent time in or around this community.
- Collaborative by nature. You communicate and work well with regional teams and cross‑functional partners.
- Data‑comfortable. You use metrics to understand what’s working and make the case for what’s next.
- Organized and systems‑minded. You think about how to make things repeatable, not just one‑off.
- Bonus points if you are a video creator yourself!
