About Eucalyptus
We are making good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people globally live with obesity, a significant leading indicator of many preventable chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Eucalyptus is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight management programs combining GLP-1 medication with a tailored nutrition and exercise programme, supported by our multidisciplinary care team of prescribers, health coaches, dietitians, nurses, and pharmacists.
Our published clinical research demonstrates that our combined approach to weight management and lifestyle change increases the likelihood of our patients losing significant weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times. Since launching, we have grown fast to support millions of patients. In the last 12 months:
- We grew the size of our patient base by 10x in the UK.
- Received selective NICE endorsement for our holistic approach to obesity management.
- Grew our team from 50 to 200.
Globally, we grew revenue by >120% YoY, while reducing cash burned by 90% YoY, with over $100M USD raised from global investors such as BOND, NewView, Blackbird, and Airtree - early backers of companies like Canva, Stripe, Uber, and Airbnb.
In 2025, we are charting the path to support hundreds of thousands of patients while launching into new conditions, demographics, and geographies as we move towards our vision of creating a preventive healthcare ecosystem. We are building the world's largest international digital healthcare company. This will be highly challenging, very rewarding, and the adventure of a lifetime, working with the best operators you will ever encounter.
About The Role (What You Will Be Doing)
This role will join our first UK-specific engineering team, focused on unlocking product growth through locally prioritised engineering initiatives. While our broader engineering team in Australia leads core architecture and feature development, this team is responsible for experimenting, extending, and refining the platform to accelerate UK market growth. It is not about quick wins or shallow growth hacks — this is foundational work grounded in data and product insight, aimed at driving meaningful, sustained outcomes.
- Run structured, data-informed experiments to improve the UK market's conversion funnel.
- Extend the core platform to better serve UK-specific customer journeys.
- Prioritise initiatives that create real business impact, not just vanity metrics.
- Improve retention and repeat order rates through localised product improvements.
- Deliver polished, seamless front-end experiences across high-leverage touchpoints.
About You (Who You Are)
Strong React & TypeScript experience and proficiency in Node.js with GraphQL. Experience working in highly iterative, data-driven teams. Understanding of conversion funnel optimisation in a digital product. At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role at other startups or software companies under your belt. Experience building web products with our tech stack. Proven record of successfully breaking down projects, estimating timelines, and consistently delivering high-quality work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are curious about how things work and have an innate ability to problem solve - this is crucial as you won't always have the information you need to move forward.
Nice to haves:
Exposure to Go. Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Metabase or Tableau. Experience in growth-focused roles at startups.
