Role summary
The Refuse and Recycling Team are looking to appoint a positive and enthusiastic crew member to work as part of a large team delivering a first class waste collection service to the residents of Blaby District. Working from our modern and well equipped depot, you will be provided with the necessary work wear to prepare you for working outside in all weather conditions. As you will be representing the council out in the district you will also need to be courteous and good natured with the public and your colleagues and be able to demonstrate this consistently.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to deliver a waste collection service to residents of Blaby District.
- Represent the council in interactions with the public and colleagues, maintaining courtesy and professionalism at all times.
- Physically prepare for outdoor work and operate in all weather conditions using provided work wear.
- Have the physical ability to walk long distances and manoeuvre heavy containers of household waste and large bulky items.
- Commit to working safely and responsibly at all times.
